House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) held a presser today announcing they intended to introduce legislation to establish a commission charged with evaluating the president’s mental/physical capacity.

She claimed it wasn’t about Trump, but then she made it clear it was at least in part directed at Trump, if for no other reason than to try to hurt him with the voters.

Except most people would look at this and see it as a naked grab for power, as I observed last night. It looks and sounds like a coup, shortly before the election. It’s not a good look for Pelosi.

There’s no way this goes anywhere or even passes during a Trump administration. It would have to pass the Republican Senate and Trump would have to sign it. Not to mention we already have the 25th Amendment with very clear provisions, none of which would apply to taking medication for a few days and it’s supposed to be initiated by the executive branch.

As my colleague Bonchie observed, it may mean that she doubts that Biden will win and so is trying to use all the arrows in her quiver to attack the president.

But there’s also another possibility here.

That she’s trying to set the stage for a take out of Joe Biden, if need be.

What happens if Biden doesn’t want to resign if he actually were able to win? They might be able to drag him over the finish line, but there’s no way they can finesse this mess through four years.

The president’s attorney Jenna Ellis observes this doesn’t work without the Vice President.

It’s also pretty clear that unlike VP Mike Pence who is loyal and supportive of President Donald Trump, Kamala Harris would throw Joe Biden under a bus for power in a red hot minute.

The president made the same observation in a tweet today and during his virtual rally on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show, according to the NY Post.

“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris,” he told his 87 million Twitter followers.

“The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!”

Trump later doubled down on the theory during a virtual campaign rally on conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s talk show.

“Let’s assume the Democrats are gonna vote for, you know, sleepy Joe, which is ridiculous because Joe shouldn’t be a candidate,” Trump said of his 77-year-old rival.

“Joe is in no condition to be a candidate. We can say it nicely or we can say it badly. The 25th Amendment that crazy Nancy’s playing around with — she’s gone crazy, she’s a nut job — but this 25th Amendment, I think they put it in so they can get Kamala in.”

So effectively they’d put in a person rejected for the presidential slot in the Democratic primary through this method.

I hope Americans are seeing all these machinations and understand what they would get with the power hungry Democrats.

Finally, it’s pretty ironic that Pelosi who is frequently incoherent thinks she has any standing to comment on Trump. Half the time it’s hard to follow what she’s saying, just like Joe Biden. What kind of medications is she on? We know what Trump is on and as we’ve previously observed, it doesn’t impair him. What about her? Plus it’s like double hypocrisy that she’s talking about Trump and the virus when she doesn’t even know how to wear a mask, it keeps slipping, she keeps touching it and her face. Talk about bad messaging on masks.
