It’s really hard to conceive that Democrats put up Joe Biden as their candidate.

It’s like they sold themselves a false vision of what Biden was years ago. But even then he was a gaffe machine and the guy who had to drop out of the 1988 presidential race for lying about his background, plagiarizing another politician and confessing plagiarizing in law school. As Barack Obama’s own Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said, Biden has “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Gates reaffirmed that belief last year when he was asked about his prior statement by CBS’s “Face The Nation” host Margaret Brennan.

He also tagged Biden as having “some issues with the military.” It’s not clear what he meant by that and I’d be fascinated to know what those issues were, especially since the Biden team has been falsely trying to attack the president who has done so much for the military.

Gates also said he thought having someone like Biden who was his age or older was “problematic.”

From Real Clear Politics:

ROBERT GATES: I– I don’t know. I don’t know. I– I think I stand by that statement. He and I agreed on some key issues in the Obama administration. We disagreed significantly on Afghanistan and some other issues. I think that the vice president had some issues with the military. So how he would get along with the senior military, and what that relationship would be, I just– I think, it– it would depend on the personalities at the time.

MARGARET BRENNAN: He’s a peer of yours. Does that mean you’re older?

ROBERT GATES: Yes.

MARGARET BRENNAN: You think he’s right for this moment?

ROBERT GATES: I think I’m pretty busy and pretty active but I think– I think having a President who is somebody our age or older, in the case of Senator Sanders, is- I think it’s problematic. I think that you don’t have the kind of energy that I think is required to be President. I think– I’m not sure you have the intellectual acuity that you might have had in your sixties. So, I mean it’s just a personal view. For me, the thought of taking on those responsibilities at this point in my life would be pretty daunting.

Why did I bring that up? Well, because it seems Gates is one of the only people who worked for the Obama administration or connection to Biden who seems willing to talk any kind of sense when it comes to Biden now and raise the question of both the military and Biden’s age. People used to before he became their only way to get back power but now of course they wouldn’t admit all these things.

I also brought it up because of what Biden said today. Because people need to stop denying there’s something wrong here.

Biden just said that before he finished his remarks, “it’s estimated that 200 million people will die” from the Wuhan coronavirus.

That’s 2/3 of the population of the United States. He’s clearly reading off a teleprompter and misreading a zero but doesn’t even understand what he just said. The real number is around 200,000.

No wonder they called a lid on Saturday at 8:30 a.m and didn’t have him talking at any events.

This isn’t the first time he’s said something like this either. He previously made a comment about 150 million dying from gun violence since 2007.

We cannot vote this man into office. This would be a catastrophe for the United States.
