Biden's Actions at Hispanic Event Have People Cringing In Response and It's Not Looking Good

Okay, here’s a tip for politicians.

Please please, stop trying to pander to people of color. It’s dumb and it’s obvious, and it has the opposite effect.

People of color have the same concerns as everyone else: what are you going to do about the economy and what are you going to do to free us from the pandemic restrictions? Those are the two major topics of concern to everyone. Tell us that and stop pandering.

Biden’s support among Hispanic voters has been slipping in places like Florida, so he’s trying to recover, doing things like a Hispanic Heritage event in Kissimmee.

But he got caught in a cringeworthy moment at the event.

He walked out, took off his mask and then played “Despacito” on his phone, even dancing a little to it.

Yikes. Can we call that a hot sauce moment? Or literally the “Hey, kids” meme?

Now, I will give him that it wasn’t completely out of the blue, since he was introduced by Luis Fonsi who made the song famous. But it still had this awkward, trying to appeal and pretend he’s “hip” quality to it.

There’s a reason that Trump is leading now among Hispanic voters in Florida and playing a song isn’t going to help Biden. Not catering to socialists and being strong on the economy works better. Biden is trying to step up his outreach to folks in Florida, but it may be too late after his seeming embrace of radicals in his party. If Biden loses Florida, his chances look bleak.

It’s not only Florida. When people tried to have a “Latinos for Biden” car parade in Las Vegas, it did not go well. While the president is able to get out hundreds of people for such events like car parades and boat parades, Biden’s parade had about 30 cars at its highest point. Not showing a lot of enthusiasm for Biden.

That’s part of the problem. He can play songs and go to events but people just aren’t jazzed by Joe. At best, some see him as a stop gap against Trump. But it isn’t the same thing as voting for someone.
