One of the reasons that the chaos precipitated by radical leftists has been allowed to fester is because Democrats and national media have largely failed to call it out and decry it. Or they’ve recast it as “peaceful protest” unfairly “attacked” by the “troops” of President Donald Trump in Portland, for example. Nothing at all about the rioting or the attacks on law enforcement as well as citizens and property for 58 days.

But one Democrat took it to a new level, Hadiya Afzal, who is running for the DuPage County Board in Illinois.

In a tweet that was later deleted, she reportedly spoke about how she couldn’t stop laughing at this video of a federal agent being hit in the head with a projectile by a rioter.

“I’ve been watching this on repeat for 15 minutes and laughing every single time,” she tweet.

Afzal has gotten some big endorsements in the past including Hillary Clinton and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).

Hadiya Afzal got ratioed after it was discovered by a lot of people who called her out on it.

She then set her Twitter to “protected.”

Afzal later posted on her Facebook about the tweet that she was the target of a “bad-faith smear” by “right wing activists.” Are the right wing activists tweeting from your account, Ms. Afzal? If that’s what she’s willing to say in public, what is she saying in private? She said her account was “taken out of context.” Uh, huh. It’s pretty clear what it means in context.

“The comment, taken out of context, is extremely disappointing. I do not condone violence in any form, and indeed have been one of many voices calling for policy changes to our policing problems today. The specific related video showed a federal officer throwing a water bottle at unarmed protesters, unprovoked, and having it returned seconds later. I regret the comment and apologize to any individuals hurt by the remark. I do believe, however, we must continue to push back against extrajudicial encroachment in municipal matters by the federal government…’

Notice how she leaves out how the rioters are attacking the federal agents and even in her “apology” falsely characterizes the event.

So are Democrats on board with this?
