If there’s one person who probably shouldn’t weigh in on President Donald Trump’s comments about the virus and disinfectants, it’s CNN’s Chris Cuomo.
So of course, that means he thinks he’s the perfect person to do so.
Here he goes:

First, let’s start with the fact that Trump did not tell anyone to inject themselves with bleach, chlorox or disinfectant. So Cuomo is once again just spreading bull.
What Trump did do was ask questions about how the evidence had shown the the benefits of the value of light as a disinfectant to help kill the virus because the DHS Undersecretary for Science, Bill Bryan, had just explained that.
So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.
He’s asking: can you have a treatment that acts like the light to disinfect?
He also made it clear immediately he wasn’t talking about injecting disinfectants like bleach or alcohol, that that was for sterilization of areas.
A few moments later, ABC News reporter Jon Karl asked Bryan, “The president mentioned the idea of a cleaner, bleach and isopropyl alcohol emerging. There’s no scenario where that could be injected into a person, is there?”
“No, I’m here to talk about the finds that we had in the study,” Bryan responded. “We don’t do that within that lab at our labs.”
Trump then clarified his remarks: “It wouldn’t be through injections, you’re talking about almost a cleaning and sterilization of an area. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t work, but it certainly has a big affect if it’s on a stationary object.”
As this shows, UV light is actually used as a disinfectant.

Scientists are even exploring the possibility of inserting the light into the body, the very concept Trump was talking about that Cuomo scoffed at.
"I would like you to speak to the medical doctors to see if there's anyway you can apply light and heat to a cure.
"Maybe you can, maybe you can't.
"I'm not a doctor, but I'm a person that has a good you know what."

But meanwhile, it’s Cuomo’s wife, Cristina, who is not just asking questions of scientists after a briefing, but actually recommending “cures” to people such as pouring Clorox into your bathwater, as my colleague Kira Davis reported.
As Kira explained, Cristina Cuomo’s recommendations are the height of tone deaf elitism (not to mention not science). In addition to the Clorox bath, she recommends Peruvian bark, she also gets a “vitamin drip” from a doctor who came to her house in a hazmat suit, a “body charger” to send electrical pulses through her body to help balance her energy and a PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) machine to help the cells to heal. Not to mention all the expensive organic food you should eat. First thought I had is how much she’s spending on all this while so many Americans are thinking of how they can hold onto their jobs or pay their mortgage, that the folks pushing this stuff are making bank pitching to folks like Cuomo.
And Cristina’s doing it as part of her online blog , “Purist,” of which she is the “editor in chief” which pushes her health tips as she’s talking about her family’s “corona protocol.” Pro tip? Maybe when three members of your family get it, your health tips may not be the best at prevention? Just saying.
It’s the height of hypocrisy, giving some of the things his wife is pitching, that he would say anything at all about Trump. Not to mention the fact that he was busted breaking quarantine again after preaching at everyone, being out in the next town with his wife, kids and another woman at a property they have under construction in East Hampton. Take a few thousand seats, Chris.
