Biden Claims He's Known as a 'Foreign Policy Expert,' but Obama Defense Sec Has Already Busted That Narrative

It would really have been better for Joe Biden to just sit out the pandemic. But since he keeps trying to be relevant, he did a town hall yesterday about unemployment and issues facing workers.

During the town hall, he hilariously tried to claim he was a “foreign policy expert.”

He was supposed to be responding to a woman who just lost her job about how she would be able to keep the healthcare coverage that she had.

From Townhall:

“As you and I have talked about this, senator, I’m always talked about as being a foreign policy expert, healthcare is more complicated than foreign policy,” he told Nevada state Sen. Yvanna Cancela, who moderated the event. “Healthcare is complicated. It really is daunting for an awful lot of people.”

Foreign policy expert? Really? Not only has no one ever said that, but Robert Gates, who served as President Obama’s Defense Secretary, said he was wrong on everything. “I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades,” Gates wrote in his book, “Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War.”

Asked again about his comment by CBS “Face The Nation” host Margaret Brennan, Gates said he stood by that assessment.

This is the guy Democrats are putting forward? The guy who has difficulty putting a coherent sentence together anymore, much less foreign policy?

The is also the man Politico described as being known for gaffes for thirty years. The Obama administration had to issue an apology for Biden’s remarks during the swine flu pandemic that almost caused a panic and could have hurt the transportation industry. “These sorts of comments are what the Obama administration fears from Biden, who after more than three decades in Washington is known for making gaffes,” Politico observed in their account of the event.

Media used to be honest about their assessment of Joe Biden until he became their only hope against President Donald Trump. Now they’re just trying to paper all that over in the hope that everyone forgets and they can push him to the presidency.
