FILE – In this Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017 file photo, President-elect Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway, center, accompanied by her husband, George, speaks with members of the media as they arrive for a dinner at Union Station in Washington, the day before Trump’s inauguration. Trump has chosen George Conway to head the civil division of the Justice Department. The Wall Street Journal reports that he was chosen to head the office that has responsibility for defending the administration’s proposed travel ban and defending lawsuits filed against the administration. The White House and the Justice Department would not confirm the pick Saturday, March 18, 2017. George Conway declined to comment. (AP Photo/Matt Rourke)

The Never Trump gang was at it again today.

George Conway went all-in on the story about President Donald Trump and the couple who ingested fish tank cleaner that had chloroquine phosphate in it, attacking Trump because he touted the potential of chloroquine as a possible cure for the Wuhan coronavirus.

Conway’s idiocy was then retweeted by other Never Trump club members including Jennifer Rubin, Rick Wilson, and Max Boot.

No, Trump did not say it was a cure, he said it had potential and it was being studied in trials. And he was talking about the drug, correctly prescribed. He did not tell people to take fish tank cleaner.

Indeed, Cuomo announced the trials happening in New York of which Trump was speaking. Yet none of the Never Trump folks or media had an issue with Cuomo talking about that.

Bottom line: this is a completely specious line of attack from Never Trump folks. They know it, because they’re not attacking Cuomo for recommending the drug or mentioning that the couple didn’t take the drug prescribed by a doctor, but took the fish tank cleaner.

The Rasmussen Reports account observed that the Never Trump gang had retweeted the silly Conway tweet and the account shredded the heck out of them with their own useful PSA.

Indeed. Good for Rasmussen for shredding them.

They aren’t about offering principled conservatism. If they were, they wouldn’t feel the need to leave out critical information in the tweet or retweet a misleading tweet. After multiple people calling Conway out on the tweet, it’s still up there with almost 73,000 likes despite being idiocy. So again, what does that say about his honesty? It’s always and only about Orange Man Bad.
