Two weeks ago tonight I wrote an article titled Sidney Powell Tells Newsmax TV: Election Fraud Cases We File This Week ‘Will Be Biblical’. As I reported at the time, attorney Sidney Powell told NewsMax TV that she had “tons of evidence” to prove election fraud. “It’s so much,” she claimed, “it’s hard to pull it all together,” adding:
“Hopefully this week we will get it ready to file, and it will be biblical. It’s a massive project to pull this fraud claim together with the evidence that I want to put in.”
Over the course of the last two weeks, I’m not sure that we’ve seen anything “biblical” but several states have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the election. On Friday, the Wisconsin Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit by Trump’s legal team, ruling that the case must first wind its way through the state’s lower courts.
Nonetheless, as is the case with Donald Trump himself, Powell has remained insistent that there is plenty of time for Trump’s legal team to overturn the results of the election.
During a Friday night appearance on Newsmax TV’s ”Stinchfield”, in reference to the December 8 ”safe harbor” deadline that frees a state from further challenge if it resolves all disputes and certifies its voting results, Powell said: ”With the fraud case, the Dec. 8 deadline doesn’t apply.”
”We have at least until Dec. 14. We might file more suits. The court in Michigan or Wisconsin today just gave us a great order recognizing that. These are not pure election contests we are filing. These are massive fraud suits that can set aside the results of the election due to this fraud at any time. The states should not be certifying election results in the face of it.”
As one example of “evidence” of fraud, Powell told Newsmax she has “a huge bag of shredded ballots in her office,” adding: I can’t wait to see what that discloses — and there are more on the way.”
While courts continue to reject complaints from Trump’s lawyer, Powell remains convinced Trump will prevail; “The people aren’t going to allow our president to be defeated,” she said.
“The people of America aren’t going to allow our president to be defeated by fraudulent election mechanisms, and these people have used every manner and means of voter fraud you can imagine. It was heavily coordinated, it was heavily funded.”
Speaking of losses in the courts, Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday night he isn’t discouraged by the recent string of federal appeals court losses:
The courts rejected lawsuits from the Trump campaign in six key states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, and Wisconsin. Arizona became the most recent setback on Friday when the state court threw out Arizona GOP chairwoman Kelli Ward’s lawsuit alleging that ballots were switched from Trump to Biden.
“We don’t need courts,” Giuliani told Hannity.

Giuliani suggested that state legislatures might ultimately determine the election’s outcome.
“The simple fact is, we don’t need courts. The United States Constitution gives sole power to the state legislature to decide presidential elections. In fact, if we go back to the Founding Fathers, they’d tell us we’re making a mistake.
“This should be thrown right to the House of Representatives and to the Senate in each state and they should hold hearings, they should have factual determinations and they should decide what the right voting account is.”
“I wanted to get around the courts,” Giulani said, “so the facts could get out.”

So here we are. Assuming that Powell is right that the December 8 “safe harbor” deadline is moot — that it doesn’t apply to fraud cases — Sidney Powell and Trump’s campaign lawyers have nine days left to make their case. The Supreme Court? State legislatures, as Rudy Giuliani suggested to Hannity?
