BREAKING: Gang Member Arrested in Attempted Murder of Two Los Angeles County Deputies

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced the arrest of Deonte Lee Murray, a 36-year-old career criminal, for the attempted murder of two LASD deputies on September 12.

In a press conference held to announce the arrest, Villanueva, District Attorney Jackie Lacey, and Villanueva’s homicide captain detailed a lengthy, methodical investigation leading to the filing of charges today.

Murray, who is known to be affiliated with numerous gangs and has a lengthy criminal record, was arrested on carjacking charges on September 15.
