Okay I’ve been reading the headlines about how Texas Senator Ted Cruz supposedly “endorsed” Donald Trump by saying he will vote for the man. What was going through my mind is “how will people spin this”? And of course that’s exactly what happened, but I never thought Conservatives would be spinning this. I’d think at least they’d be laughing at the Trump crowd because Cruz never said he was endorsing the man. To me just voting is not the same as endorsing which I believe means acting as a vocal and active surrogate and defender of the candidate. I myself reached the point of actually deciding to vote for Trump, but that was always put into question because of him being him. Every time the reasons for why I could just went down and eventually all I had was “I don’t want Hillary” now even that’s no longer a reason to cast my vote.
Anyways back to Cruz who committed the unforgivable sin of saying he will vote. I don’t agree with his reasoning primarily because I don’t believe Donald Trump will commit to any of the items on his Presidential Bucket List. However, Ted Cruz said “vote your conscience” at the RNC, remember no two consciences are the same. I thought just people would be honest about what’s being said instead of turning against a good man who remains one of the few fighters in Congress. I knew Ted Cruz was going to vote for Donald Trump, there was never a doubt in my mind. I thought more people had caught on to that, I was wrong.
Ted Cruz is still the honest Senator from the great state of Texas and he will remain so for the foreseeable future.
Do you disagree? That’s fine.
If he runs for President again, I will enthusiastically support him. I would think others will do the same.
Let’s continue to fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom. God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.
