The Intellectual High Ground

The Constitution, The Intellectual High Ground
Thomas Jefferson wrote:
β€œIn questions of power, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.”

Today the Constitution is used by our leader to bind the people. The Constitution was written as a contract that all elected leader swore to follow. It was the chains that bind them. The Constitution was the promise that the people would always be the true power of our great Country. The Federal Government was put in place to keep the Country safe from ememies. Also to form treaties with other Country that had nothing in them that would impede the people of this Country in any way, And help the people of this country down a path of the persons choice and not choosing a path for them!

If you look at how the Constitution was written, it was written in such a way that all literate people could read it and that they could explain to the non literate citizens. This was the hopes of our forefathers. Now, the lawyers in Washington try to interpret it’s true meaning. The truth is, there is no more perfectly written document that came from the hands of man. This was a document made so the people could hold it up in the face of our elected leaders and tell them when they are wrong! Our leaders should never tell us what it means and should never be interpreted by the Government for it’s own advantage.

This is a truly great Country, We (for the most part) do not have riots when we disagree we have intellectual riots. A real fight for the hearts and minds. Most of our elected leaders in Washington would argue that they have the intellectual high ground because they went to Harvard. In part this might be true they may well be more intellectual than a lot of us but, we are the ones who really hold the intellectual high ground for this reason: The truth is with us, as is The Constitution.

To the people of The United States of America I say, “Every American should have a copy of The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence you should learn it’s true meaning so that the Government never has to tell you what it means. The first three word of the Constitution are – WE THE PEOPLE. Not, We the Government.”

To the Government I say, “Follow our rules! WE ARE THE PEOPLE!”
