Trump for President 2012

Donald Trump plans to run for president in 2012.  He’s got the right attitude towards our problems including jobs, trade and debt, plus he’s tough and forthright.  While the poll spread is 6 points, its not an indicator of losing to Obama in the long run.  I don’t care where Obama polls because I question the popularity poll and compare it to performance polls.  A direct poll Trump v. Obama will be closer once the man starts campaigning.   Trump will break a lot of hearts at NBC and pMSNBC where he’s been favored for years.

This is not an endorsement because I’ll need to read economic policy, job plans, war, national security and foreign policy plans before committing to Trump or any other candidate.  Thought I’d spell it out since candidates are emerging and all are worthy of discussion.  Trump has his negatives as well.  You can bet his real estate deals and the casino failures will be scrutinized big time but what would you expect when gamblers prefer the Vegas desert attractions over snow and Jersey any day.

I liked Trumps criticism of US trade negotiators and politicians calling them weak and stupid for giving in to the Chinese who thought negotiating was too easy.  You know we’ve got it bad when the communists though the negotiations were too easy.  His thoughts on US policy and OPEC are good.  Trump Blitzed the Wolf in this CNN interview.  Very enlightening 12 minutes.

Billionaire Donald Trump is telling friends he has decided he will definitely run for president as a Republican.

In an interview from Scotland, where he has been building a golf course, Trump expanded on his comments to Newsmax, saying that “the world is laughing at us” and the United States is now “a punching bag for the world.”

It is “sad what’s happened to the country,” Trump said. “We’re no longer a respected nation, and we should be the most respected.”

According to a Newsmax/SurveyUSA poll conducted Nov. 3 and 4, in a head-to-head race between President Obama and Trump, the entrepreneur would get 47 percent of the vote, versus 53 percent for Obama.

Trump polled strongly among Republicans and conservatives. He got 50 percent of the votes of independents.

I look at the jobs numbers, and I see what’s going on in China, where it’s booming,” Trump said on Fox News. “You know why it’s booming? Because they’re making all our products. They’re taking all our jobs. We are rebuilding China, and our country is going to hell.”
