Each of these films have some connection, however tenuous you may think, to the rise of public awareness about the freedom and dignity of the common man, teamwork in overcoming obstacles and the evils of the men who would deny them. To some extent Hollywood made us all, so I want especially to thank Tim Robbins, Al Gore and many of the old Hollywood Left from the 30s and 40s who never knew who among their progeny would value their work in an entirely different way than they intended.
