Speaking on 890 WLS with John Howell Monday Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger said that Donald Trump and Ted Cruz’s rhetoric on the campaign trail has been dangerous and that it could turn 1.5 billion Muslims around the world into our enemy.
Howell asked Kinzinger if he thought Ted Cruz’s calls in the wake of the Brussels terrorist attack, which killed over 30, including 4 Americans, and wounded over 200, for US law enforcement and counter terrorism to go into Muslim neighborhoods around the country to keep them from becoming radicalized was a good or bad thing; to which Kinzinger replied:
I think in the long-term its to our disadvantage. Now look wee ned to have intelligence, we need to have human intelligence in these communities. But here is how you do it, this is where some of the rhetoric of Donald Trump and frankly Ted Cruz have I think been dangerous. Everybody likes to talk about developing human intelligence, its kind of the buzz word of the day. We can go after the administration because they don’t have it. Human intelligence is not sending a guy that looks like me and worships like me into a mosque. Its turning people who are moderate Muslims, maybe ones that have been extreme at one point and bind them on to our side so that they can provide us intelligence.
You don’t do that by making blanket statements against Islam. It may sound cool to do it. It might feel good to do it. But it actually very strongly hampers human intelligence in these communities.
Our Rhetorics got to be very careful, we can’t turn it from 100,000 enemies around the world to a billion and a half around the world other wise we simply won’t win.
