During an interview on 1440 WROK Monday morning Illinois “Republican” congressman Adam Kinzinger told Riley & Scott that more Republican would have voted for [mc_name name=’Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)’ chamber=’house’ mcid=’B000589′ ]’s Golden Parachute debt limit and budget deal if they didn’t have to fear being primaried back home.  Last week 79 House Republicans, including Kinzinger voted with nearly every Democrat to approve the measure that ends the sequestration spending caps, raises the nations debt limit into March of 2017 ensuring we will have a $20 trillion national debt when Obama leaves office, raids the Social Security trust fund to prop up the disability trust fund, and raises taxes.

President Obama signed the debt and budget deal into law on Monday.

Kinzinger: “In terms of this budget agreement, look I got to tell ya there’s probably a majority of people that really wanted the thing to pass but weren’t willing to take the vote, and I’m not saying this to disparage anybody, but it’s the vote no, hope yes caucus.  Which are the ones that are worried to vote yes because they are afraid to go home and get primaried, but they really want other people to vote yes for them.”

Kinzinger went on to acknowledge the criticism that he gets online(nearly all of which is because of me, Joe Walsh and Mark Levin) for his support for amnesty, the Export-Import Bank, and the Boehner Golden Parachute but said he doesn’t let that, or what is good for the Republican Party, or what the media wants affect his decision making.  Kinzinger said that his decision making filter is what is good for the state of Illinois and the 16th congressional district.

Funny how that almost always seems to line up with what GOP leadership and the Chamber of Crony Capitalism want.
