On Monday morning Illinois RINO congressman Adam Kinzinger was on 1440 WROK’s Riley and Scott program and talked about the pending fight to defund Planned Parenthood and the prospects of a partial government shutdown.(Note Kinzinger won’t use the word partial shutdown).  Kinzinger said that at no time would a shutdown be beneficial to us because Planned Parenthood still has 60% approval ratings with the American people.  Kinzinger said, “To take a very unpopular Congress and shutdown the government over something people still see as pretty popular I think would be very, very dangerous.”

Kinzinger suggested that instead of calling President Obama and the Democrat parties bluff, Obama has only issued 4 vetoes in 7 years, Republicans and the pro-life movement focus their efforts on electing a Republican President so he or she could possibly make multiple nominations to the Supreme Court, who would then theoretically at some point in the future draft a majority opinion the ends abortion.  Obviously Kinzinger wants that person to be Jeb Bush.

Partial transcript:

The one thing we don’t want to do is shut down the federal government. At no time will that be beneficial to us to shut down the federal government. Planned Parenthood still has, believe it or not, a 60 percent approval rating among the American people but to take a very unpopular Congress and shutdown the government over something people still see as pretty popular I think would be very, very dangerous.
