Sorry for the language, but damn
Just saw this little blurb about “The Pentagon” lifting restrictions about taking pictures of our deceased service men and women “if the families of casualties agree.”
- Like they’ll be asked
- Like they’d agree if they were
- Like my current CinC keeps promises?
Note to Obama; first damn time you let HuffPo or anyone else use pics of my KIA brothers and sisters for propaganda, either directly or indirectly, you can re-institute the draft because I’m out and I won’t be alone.
WASHINGTON (AP) – Defense and congressional officials say news organizations will be allowed to photograph the homecomings of America’s war dead under a new Pentagon policy.
The officials say Defense Secretary Robert Gates has decided to allow photos of flag-draped caskets at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, if the families of casualties agree.
Gates planned to announce his decision later Thursday. The current ban was put in place by President George H.W. Bush.
I have absolutely no confidence that the sanctity pretended above would be observed. I can’t even write anymore.
