Plans for the future?

[The following email I sent to members at the Ventura County GOP website]

My name is Erick Brockway, and I want change. Not “Change”, or “Change We Can Believe In“, but real change from Blue back to Red.

I’m noticing there are no events scheduled, no updates on the website since February of last year. Ventura County has gone blue (albeit slightly), and we need to take this area back.

I work 7 days a week at one full-time job and two part-time jobs, but I can squeeze something in somewhere.

Currently I’ve become active at RedState.com, TopConservativesOnTwitter.org, Politics4All, and other sites who are similarly engaged, and I believe another Conservative Revolution is not only possible, but is also in the works.

So what’s going on up there in Thousand Oaks? Did the state GOP decide this county was safely red, and cut off funds? We don’t need them to be effective, just need to put the pedal to the metal and hit it! The local Democrat Party site is active, planning events, and is in full attack mode, attacking Tony Strickland;

Our new State Senator Tony Strickland stood in lockstep along his extremist Republican friends and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association this week in announcing they were suing to stop a California state budget plan by the Democrats.

This HAS to be countered, and anyone going to your site is greeted by apparent apathy.

There are plenty of low-cost ways to enlist conservatives to this cause, Facebook for one.

At Facebook you’ll find the San Fernando Valley Republican Club, which recently hosted Assemblyman Chuck Devore from Orange County.

I wrote recently as today about these problems, cross-posted at the VenturaCountyStar.com forums.
