“…we shouldn’t worry about the deficit…”
This coming after explicitly blaming the Bush Administration for “record high deficits” during the last 8 years.
Also, agreeing apparently with VP pick Joe Biden on the likelyhood of an upcoming terrorist event during his early Presidency:
“…because transition periods are potentially times of vulnerability to a terrorist attack,” he said.
This is fun! Submitting resume to NY Times.Disclaimer for nutroots; The preceding was a satire, not to be taken as actual media distortion.
The following was what Obama actually said:
The government will do
whatever it takes'' to revive the economy, Obama said. That meanswe shouldn’t worry about the deficit next year or even the year after,” he said, adding that in the short term, “the most important thing is that we avoid a deepening recession.”
The president-elect also said he’s moving quickly to assemble his national security team. “I think it’s important to get a national security team in place because transition periods are potentially times of vulnerability to a terrorist attack,” he said.
How about returning the courtesy sometime?
Oh well, guess I can’t stomach the media process after all.
Yet another nice catch Josh
