My Worries

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to point out the flaws of a failed political ideology, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind dictates that proof be presented. I am not sure what all of you define a “flaw” as, but I liken it to an imperfection. An imperfection amongst claimed perfection is not perfection at all, now is it? Neither party is perfect, but one always claims to be, and as I post this on Redstate, it is quite obvious which party I’m talking about.

I was on my way home from dinner with my family when I decided to check the news. Muslim migrants threw multiple Christians overboard their boat during an attempt to cross the Mediterranean. I mustn’t tell you who rose to defend these “poor, tortured souls”, do I? No, I guess not. Liberals were quick to swoop in and chant over and over, “Crusades, Crusades!”. Now, I know little of the Crusades, but because of this I am now delegated to the task of changing that. Despite my limited knowledge, after less than a year of real education, I knew immediately that these liberals were quite obviously flawed in their thinking. I won’t get much into it since, as I said, I’m not all too familiar with the Crusades, but what I will discuss is just how blind their devotion to Islam is.

One poster called Obama an idiot. I liked it, though I disagree. I believe that our President knows exactly what he is doing, and I posted so, as well as beg the question of why liberals continue to defend these people. I got a response. The response came from a liberal, who mentioned ethnic cleansing of Muslims by Christians in Africa. Wow. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. It’s exactly the kind of thing I would do- point and counterpoint. But this liberal offered nothing else, leading me to believe that this person thought these actions against Christians were somehow justifiable. And so, liberals prove once again that political correctness is a one-way street, and if you’re Christian, you are banned from using it.

Such blind devotion to any cause is dangerous. It leaves you prone to being taken advantage of. Unlike the left, we do not claim to be perfect. We have our fair share of controversy. What separates us from them is that we acknowledge it, deal with it and put it behind us. When the left-wing is put in the same situation, they routinely deny that any wrong had been done and insist that those “crazy conservatives” are stirring up trouble for no reason. Then, before going on their way, they let us know just how evil Christians are and remind us just how great Islam is. I worry very much for the future of our country.
