I have come across a new website that aims to track public sentiment on various questions and issues via twitter tags as well as more detailed posts directly to the site itself. Their first “issue” is about Obama coming into office and Bush leaving, allowing people to state exactly what their sentiments are.
It is quite interesting to see that almost as many as a third to a half of the comments are positive or at least sympathetic. I found this site through a techie blog, not a conservative political blog. This might be an indicator that George W Bush’s image as a President may very well improve after a few years have passed and emotions wane. A lot of people seem to recognize that he accomplished his #1 duty of keeping us safe.
