There is a dog begging for food, with its master holding the food over the dog’s head, just out of reach. The Master loves his power over the dog, and asks the dog to perform tricks for his reward. The Master taunts and makes fun of the dog because the dog has to do whatever the Master wants in order to get his food. With government-run health care, you are the dog, and the State is your Master. With government-run health care, the State has total control over your life. It asks you to jump, and you say “how high?” because the State controls your access to that pill that relieves your excruciating pain, or that surgery that will save your life.
It is hard to believe that we have come to this in America.
