Chris Christie launches 2016 Presidential Campaign website

Chris Christie, Republican Governor of New Jersey, has officially launched his 2016 Presidential campaign website ahead of his expected announcement on Tuesday. Christie has struggled in the polls recently after “Bridgegate”, falling from the top of the pack to around 2-6%. Christie as viewed by many as a moderate or even a RINO (Republican In Name Only), however some may view him as an alternative to Donald Trump, who also certainly isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Chris Christie was elected Governor of New Jersey in 2009 and re-elected in a landslide in 2013, his landslide re-election was supported by a coalition of all races, making many Republicans think at the time that Christie would have the best chance of defeating Hillary Clinton ( or Bernie Sanders?). However, news broke out a couple months later that some of Christie’s officials closed the bridge connecting New York City and New Jersey, causing a traffic jam that lasted 3 days. It was found that his officials had did this because the mayor of  Fort Lee,NJ did not endorse Christie for Governor of New Jersey during the 2013 Election campaign. Christie denied having any involvement in the scandal and an independent report later found that he had no involvement in the scandal, possibly no knowledge at all. Regardless, Christie has a lot of catching up to do and will have to work hard to make it into the First Republican Primaries Debate on August 6th hosted by Fox News, in which only the top 10 candidates among the newest 5 national polls will be allowed the debate.
