House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s eyes watered Thursday as she called for the rhetorical heat to be turned down across the country, and warned that such words can lead to violence — a phenomenon she witnessed herself in San Francisco.
“I saw,” she added, choking up, “I saw this myself in the late seventies in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening and it gave–it created a climate in which violence took place.”
Pelosi has no problem with “rhetorical heat” as long as it goes one way. All the vitriol, invective, and hate aimed at George W. Bush was just fine because there was no blow back. As long as conservatives lay down, “rhetorical heat” is okay.
Now, liberals are in power and conservatives, sick and tired of being bullied, are pushing back a little. As a result, there is a little friction because conservatives are providing a countervailing force. Nancy Pelosi can’t handle it. She’s crying crocodile tears all over her hideous makeup in a disgusting display of hypocrisy. Nancy Pelosi has reserved the exclusive right of student activists, unions and radical militants to engage in “rhetorical heat”. All others are harbingers of violence.
I think I’m going to puke.
