Palin Power; Springfield Missouri Edition

Due to overwhelming demand, Sarah Palin’s rally in Springfield, Missouri today had to be relocated to a larger venue. The event was moved from the Missouri State University’s McDonald Arena to a Bass Pro Shops parking lot. The original event was ticketed for a crowd of 4,000 people.

Despite efforts to accommodate the larger than expected crowd, organizers are still falling short. The line to see Sarah has already swelled to over 15,000 people and more people are converging on the rally site. People are patiently waiting in long lines despite apparently frigid temperatures.

By comparison, McCain held a town hall meeting here last June that drew 350 people, (Sorry John) but that was last June. The almighty “One” himself held a rally in neighboring Glendale High Scholl last July that drew a whopping 2,000 people. More telling is old Joe Biden’s visit to neighboring Jordan Valley Park only a couple of weeks ago that officially drew 3,000 people, although the reporter notes that the real tally was half of that amount, a meager 1,500 people.

In short, Sarah Palin is a rock star and she is kicking everyone’s arses.
