If you ever needed proof of the narcissistic motivations of the RINO establishment in Washington, D.C., look no further than a recent interview with The New Yorker given by the Maverick from Arizona — [mc_name name=’Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’M000303′ ].
As reported by Newsmax.com, when asked about Donald Trump’s recent rally in Phoenix, AZ., McCain stated that Trump will hurt him personally as he seeks re-election to the U.S. Senate next year (emphasis mine):
“It’s very bad. This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me. Because what he did was, he fired up the crazies.”
“We have a very extreme element within our Republican Party. We did to some degree regain control of the party, (but) now he (has) galvanized them. He’s really got them activated.”
Yes, you read that correctly.
McCain believes that Conservatives are crazy extremists, and that the Republican party belongs to him and his buddies. By the way, this is classic McCain. You may recall that he once referred to fellow Senators and current presidential candidates [mc_name name=’Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’C001098′ ] (R-TX) and [mc_name name=’Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’P000603′ ] (R-KY) as “wacko birds” when they took a stand defending the Constitutional rights of Americans.
In the end, McCain’s statements are evidence of the inside-the-beltway Republican’s disdain for true Conservative values. And we can expect more of it as the 2016 campaign season starts to heat up.
In a way, the Maverick has provided a simple blueprint for beating RINOs such as himself. If Republicans will take a bold stand for the Conservative cause, it will fire up the base. And with a fired up base, we can draw the RINO cockroaches out of the woodwork to be exposed as the frauds they truly are.
By the way, more proof that the message of spineless Republicans like McCain is failing can be seen in the presidential race being run by his BFF from South Carolina, Lindsey “mini-me” Graham. Like McCain, Graham has taken a strong stance against Trump’s statements; and like McCain, Graham is running a losing campaign.
