Stop Sweating Over Palin

I don’t know what it is. Perhaps it’s a mindset. Perhaps it’s the way they talk but underestimating people like Palin and where she comes from is a failing that just never seems to be corrected no matter how many times experts’ assumptions are proven wrong.

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. Country-folk like Palin will allow you to think you’re playing them for a fool while they turn the tables on you. If you don’t believe me, well, Investors Business Daily gets it.

With Palin out of sight, pundits left and right are filling the void with their own doubts about her. Not surprisingly, they’re the same voices who groaned loudest when Palin was first announced as McCain’s running mate in August. They’re repeating their claims enough to make them **conventional wisdom**. And it coincides with a worrying slide in the polls for McCain.

The article lays out her experience and her accomplishments. If she beat the “Good Ole Boy” network in Alaska, give her some credit and have faith she can beat the “Good Ole MSM Network,” too. Palin knows what the rest of us know: The collective mainstream media is not her friend. It’s something McCain learned the hard way.

There are clues and hints that she knows what she’s doing if you know what to look and listen for. I won’t spell them out because I know the uber-liberals are reading this site, too.

Just, have a little faith. It’s a tough election because we’re fighting the onward march of socialism in this country, not only through the political left but through a media which has taken an ever increasingly active role in helping the march along.

We could still lose this election but I will remind you of the number of times when John McCain’s campaign has been declared dead and defied all predictions. It’s not over until the results of November 4th are in.
