A poorly written draft of an idea to resurrect the Republican Party.

Political suicide is the only way to return America to its Constitutional rights. Let me explain.

I believe that pretty much all of the current state and federal politicians are professional politicians.

I believe that a professional politicians’ first duty is to stay in office, now-a-days seemingly, at any cost. Every current politician has voted for a bill that is against his or her beliefs in order to gain a vote from someone else on what they want to pass. This is the way it works in Washington and the state Capitols and is not likely to change.

So…..

Political Suicide is the only answer.

I propose that an organization is created with, at minimum the following objective.

1. Provide true ‘citizen’ politicians and candidates.
2. Provide a platform that all members will believe, uphold and will vote for that is based on constitutionally sound principals’.
3. All of these ‘citizen’ politician members will be willing to commit ‘political suicide. Such as, they would vote the platform not their own best re-election interests’.
4. All elected members will serve a predetermined number of terms then return to private life.

I believe in the two party system of government. There are many examples of governments around the world where you have to get coalitions of the various groups in order to govern. This I believe is not good.

The ultimate goal of this group or organization is to return the Republican Party to Constitutionally Conservative values by providing the voters an Ideology or platform to vote for that is represented by temporary ‘citizen’ political servants that represent the platform that is clearly defined based on fiscal and social constitutional conservative values .

Now, I have been tossing around this concept to myself for quite a while now. Unfortunately, I am only one citizen who is an Electrician by trade, husband of one wife, father of four children and taxpayer who works hard to provide for his family. I hold to Conservative values. I have always voted for Republicans in the past, but given the current leadership, don’t know how I can continue to do that in the future.

I have no public voice or following.

I write this to anyone who is in the main stream of prominent political reform. This will take a lot of work from people with patience and a willingness to work toward something that will not happen overnight.

As I review this writing my lack of a college education is fairly evident. I went to high school, served in the Army, married a fantastic woman and am raising my family. All of this is my choice for my life about my future. I have chosen my ‘pursuit of happiness’. As Benjamin Franklin so rightly said “The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness, you have to catch it yourself.” Amen to that.

I hope that people with the appropriate resources will consider this idea and run with it. We would have to build political power with current like minded elected representatives.
