Is There a Problem With Trump, Cruz and Planned Parenthood?

Big deal that Trump is for funding Planned Parenthood.  It helps women that can’t afford basic exams.  It’s such a wonderful organization that is only looking out for the health of women.  It provides a much needed service for the indigent and lower income.  What’s not to love.  Why should we be so upset that Trump wants to support such a helpful organization for women in times of need?  How really low and cruel of us all….  After all, Trump truly cares about women.  Remember, Trump doesn’t even try and hide Ivanka’s influence on his views on the controversial Planned Parenthood debate. He explained: “Ivanka is so much into that whole issue of women’s health and women, and she’s my guide on that whole subject.”  How wonderful is that!  I bet that’s who he’s talking about when he mentions surrounding himself with the best people.

Did you hear the lame line Senator Cruz threw out at Trump?  How dare he go after Trump on core principles!  It’s great to be flexible, especially when you don’t have core principles.  After all, Trump has recently said, “I’m capable of changing to anything I want to change to.”  What’s not to love.  Evolving is the key, even if it’s from one week to the next.  It matters not how.  We don’t need to look at someone’s past.  Just look forward.  Hope and change, baby!  Flexibility is key.  Who wants an ideologue with principles like Ted Cruz?  Oh, the horror!

So, 86% of Planned Parenthood funds come from performing abortions.  Would you prefer backyard alleys with hangers?  “I need to go watch “Dirty Dancing”.  Morals?  Please.  Convenience is much better.  My life, my feelings, my career is more important.  Children are so burdensome.  You know, we could go the way of Japan.  Yes, that’s it.  Not enough young workers for the elderly?  Hmmmm…  robot healthcare?  German prostitutes converting to nurses…  Yes, yes, yes.  Anything is possible.  As long as we focus on the here and now.  It is our time, our needs, our desires.  Me, me, me.  Don’t you like the sound of that?

OK, back to our friend, PP.  You don’t mind if I abbreviate do you?  So what if they are selling baby body parts?  Hey, it’s for research so YOU can live longer; who cares about fetuses.  It’s all about us, our generation, our journey to immortality.  Who cares about lumps of tissue.  With that thought, we should be looking more closely at euthanasia.  After all, we live for the here and now.  Who cares about the older generation.  We are constantly evolving.  Wisdom with age, bah, it’s time for the younger generation.  Ahh, youth.  So wise and brilliant-our wonderful universities at work.  We are the smartest, best chance for America.  We don’t need to look and learn from history-let’s just revise it to suit our needs now.  We need to create our own destiny.  That reminds me, time to watch Logan’s Run….  Better yet, Soylent Green-a favorite!

Planned Parenthood fundraises for Democrat campaigns.  Big Whoop…  What does it matter if your tax payer dollars go to  Planned Parenthood whether you support it or not, and then on to our friendly Democrat campaigns in some way or another.  We only gave PP about half a billion dollars last year.  That’s not too much.  They probably need more.  They deserve the money after all.  The Democrat party works so hard to grow government, Republicans too, when I think about it.  We want a strong, powerful, all-encompassing government in every aspect of our lives.  We need help in being told what to do, when to do it, and what to think.  Trump will just make government more efficient.  Yes, that’s it.  It will be so wonderful.

Ok, Ok, sorry.  Back to “PP”.  PP doesn’t perform mammograms.  What’s the big deal.  It’s still very helpful.  Yeah, I know that community health centers do the same services, but still, we are talking about Planned Parenthood-the organization with all the federal backing.  We’re paying for it, aren’t we?

PP was started by a wonderful woman, Margaret Sanger, who I quote, “[We should] apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.”  Remember, we are building a “Master Race” after all.  Hey, that sounds familiar.  I wonder who said that..Hmmmmm…  Something about Aryon..Aryin..Aryan?  I just love blonde hair and blue eyes.

Look, I know some of you religious people don’t like abortions.  Ok then, Trump is against the abortion part of PP.  I think we can believe him.  I know he used to be for partial birth abortion, you know that procedure, right?  Apparently registered nurse Brenda Pratt Shafer witnessed several partial-birth abortions while working for an Ohio abortionist. She described one of these abortions in a July 9, 1995,  letter to Congressman Tony Hall:  The baby’s body was moving. His little fingers were clasping together. He was kicking his feet. All the while his little head was still stuck inside. Dr. Haskell took a pair of scissors and inserted them into the back of the baby’s head. Then he opened the scissors up. Then he stuck the high-powered suction tube into the hole and sucked the baby’s brains out.  Enough of that.  They don’t do that anymore.  But Trump’s changed.  He’s not for it anymore.  We can trust him on that.  Why?  He said: “Friends of mine years ago were going to have a child, and it was going to be aborted. And it wasn’t aborted. And that child today is a total superstar, a great, great child. And I saw that. And I saw other instances.”  I’m not sure what he would have said if the child was born with a birth defect or was not the smartest kid in the class, but who cares.  He changed his mind.

So what’s up?  Why would we strip such a helpful organization of half a billion dollars when it contributes so much to the goodness of our moral society?  Why should the good people of South Carolina be so troubled by Trump’s continued support of our good and decent friend, PP?

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works and that my soul knows well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed, and in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them” (Psalm 139:13-16, NKJV).

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV).
