“New federal health-care-reform legislation requires plans with dependent coverage to expand that coverage up to age 26,” Behroozi explained in an October 22 letter to members. “Our limited resources are already stretched as far as possible, and meeting this new requirement would be financially impossible.”
– Mitra Behroozi, SEIU 1199 benefits manager (HT: Michelle Malkin)
This has to be one of the most pathetically hypocritical, self-serving and dishonest statements I’ve ever seen in writing. This is an organization that has resources sufficient to back any campaign the Democrats order them to. They have the resources to picket the homes of Wall Street CEOs. They have the resources to bus thousands of members to John Stewart’s “non-political” rallies to restore sanity.
Just recently, SEIU President Andy Stern took to the WaPo on behalf of the children’s insurance codicil that his union now decries as too expensive. In a properly worshipful interview, with the sycophantic Ezra “Journolist” Klein, Stern told America the following.
Klein: And what happens if the bill passes? Republicans are talking about running on repeal. Is there much discussion of a post-passage political strategy?
Stern: But if you can say to people that if your kid is 26 years old, you can keep him on your insurance plan? Or there are no more lifetime caps? They get that. They get that someone may actually stop these insurance companies.
These “Progressive” Beltway Insiders should make all decent human beings sick. They are so infused with faux-chivalry when they slam despotic “liberalism” down the ignorant throats of meth-abusing Albion’s Seed out in Jeebusstan. Make them have to pay for their own brilliant kfucking ideers, and we get “Our limited resources are already stretched as far as possible, and meeting this new requirement would be financially impossible.” Liberalism will be inflicted on thee, but it d_ _ n sure won’t become a budgetary issue for me.
The rules just don’t apply to these Nietzschian Supermen. To further inflict pain and suffering on working American citizens, the leaders of organized leaders, who will conspicuously NOT be abiding by Sacred and Divinely-Inspired ObamaCare, are now spending six figures on an ad campaign in support of The Dream Act. So, if you belong to the SEIU, and you are a US citizen, “Our limited resources are already stretched as far as possible, and meeting this new requirement would be financially impossible.” If you brought your children here in direct opposition to US immigration law, the SEIU rummages the sofa cushions and comes up with six figures to spend on the promotion of The Dream Act.
Yes indeed, the backdoors were written into ObamaCare. Like corrupt Medieval Aristocrats buying indulgences from corpulent, “worldly” friars, “Progressive” enterprises apply for waivers. They repulse and nauseate me like bullying knaves kicking women and children out of lifeboats aboard a sinking ship. If Liberalism is so good, if progressivism is so glorious, why are 111 of Barack’s good buddies not basking in the sheer collective joy of it right now?
Why are Jeffords Steel and Engineering, the UFCW Allied Trade Health & Welfare Trust, and IBEW No.915 more equal than the poor working stiffs at Joe’s Tune-Up Shack and Muffler Repair? I can imagine the Alan Grayson answer. “Villains you were, Tea-Baggers you shall remain!!”
In 1381, before the original version of these words were spoken to the trapped followers of Watt Tyler, a Priest named John Ball asked the following immortal questions.
‘When Adam delved and Eve span Who was then the gentleman? We are men formed in Christ’s likeness and they treat us as beasts.’
Rave on, John Ball. Rise from your grave and rave against it all. Rave against the imperial Congress as debauched with power and inebriated with privilege as the French royalty under Louis XVI. Rave athwart this Divine Right Presidency.
This Beltway Animal Farm; where the animals with the proper numbers in their Black-Berries are more equal, must undergo condign foreclosure. The mission of the new Conservative Revolution has only begun. The GOP and the Dems alike had better not be stupid enough to stand in the way.
What this corruption represents is a necrotic cancer killing what was once the world’s foremost democracy and beacon of eternal decency. As Dylan Thomas said to his ailing father, I say to my fellow conservatives now.
Do not go gentle into that dark night.
Rage, Rage against the dying of the light!
