Question: What Would The Media Have Said If Obama Had Picked Tim Kaine?

The hysterics on the left over Palin’s relatively light resume by liberal media pundits, as well as, unfortunately, Charles Krauthammer and Mort Kondracke, has been intense. Saying it’s hypocritical to attack someone with a short but accomplished resume (Palin) when shilling for someone who’s resume is both short and unaccomplished (Obama) is to state the obvious, but I can’t help but wonder:

WHERE WERE THESE PEOPLE WHEN IT WAS EXTREMELY CLEAR THAT TIM KAINE WAS ON THE SHORT-SHORT LIST TO BE OBAMA’S VP?

Kane has almost the exact same experience as Palin:

Kaine was a City Councilman, Palin was a City Councilman. (I’d say Counsilwoman, but Palin apparently doesn’t like it when people do that.)

Kaine was a Mayor, Palin was a Mayor.

Kane was Lt. Governor (a totally ceremonial position), Palin was Chairman of the Oil and Gas Commission.

Kane is a first-term Governor, Palin is a first-term Governor.

and unlike McCain/Palin, Obama/Kaine wouldn’t have ANY experience on the ticket.

Now, of course, ultimately, Obama didn’t pick Kaine, but it was very clear that he was among the final three. For a while, he looked like the frontrunner.

Did you hear anybody screeching on the left the way they are with Palin?

Didn’t think so.

I rest my case.

EDIT: Oh yah, I forgot, Kaine went to Harvard Law while Palin went to the University of Idaho.

Thus, obviously, he is more qualified.
