The Daily Caller is reporting that WorldNetDaily is dropping Ann Coulter from the agenda of the “Taking America Back National Conference” after she agreed to speak at the GOProud conference.

“Ultimately, as a matter of principle, it would not make sense for us to have Ann speak to a conference about ‘taking America back’ when she clearly does not recognize that the ideals to be espoused there simply do not include the radical and very ‘unconservative’ agenda represented by GOProud,” said WND Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah. “The drift of the conservative movement to a brand of materialistic libertarianism is one of the main reasons we planned this conference from the beginning.”

As someone posted on twitter earlier today, Farah says “materialistic libertarianism” like it’s a bad thing. The libertarian philosophy is much closer to the ideal codified in the Constitution than the Big Government policies proposed by many of the “Religious Right” including WND.

I have posted over and over again about my views on marriage at the State. Ann Coulter is doing a good thing speaking to GOProud. WND, again, proves that they’re the extremist nut jobs I always thought they were.
