Because It's Not Like We Are At War, Or Anything

The Obama Administration can afford to give us a wasteful stimulus package that exceeds $800 billion. But apparently, the Pentagon needs to cut its budget.

Never mind the fact that we have to actually expand our military. Never mind as well that if one really wanted to engage in fiscal stimulus, building things like tanks and planes is a better way to do it than re-sodding the National Mall. Oh, and never mind the fact that we are engaged in what will likely be a decades-long struggle against worldwide terrorist organizations and that we still have missions in Iraq and Afghanistan to see through (though, of course, the Obama Administration is trying desperately to precipitously end the former mission).

Someone should tell the President that this campaign is over. He can start acting responsibly anytime now.
