And Now, The Farce

Congressional Democrats are pushing for a $150 billion stimulus package.

Again, let us note how well the last stimulus package worked.

All of this frantic–and ultimately, futile–activity can be explained by bringing to mind anew perhaps the most famous syllogism ever to enter the popular lexicon thanks to an exceedingly clever television show:

  1. Something must be done.
  2. This is something.
  3. Therefore, this must be done.
