Aching To Be A Spoiler

Once again, let’s ask whether the Clintons really want Barack Obama to win this election:

HILLARY CLINTON, Barack Obama’s defeated opponent in the Democratic primary, has infuriated his supporters by praising Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, for her performance in last week’s television debate.

“It is amazing, you know, she’s been thrust in the spotlight with very little national preparation and I think, all things considered, you saw a very composed and effective debater,” Clinton said.

Her husband Bill recently issued some compliments of his own. “I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there,” he said.

Of course, even if Obama does win the election, he is going to have to worry about the possibility that Clinton will challenge him for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2012. It should be clear by now that the Clintons abhor the idea of an Obama Presidency. Any tool that allows them to sabotage a President Obama is one that the Clintons will eagerly grab for and use.

I suppose all of this would be amusing to watch but for the fact that taking care of the country is far more important than popping popcorn and observing political opponents tear each other asunder any way possible.
