I do hope that this poll is flawed in its measurements. If it is not, we have some serious work to do in convincing the population at large that you can’t have a vibrant First Amendment once it is tied up in the manifestation of red tape that is the Fairness Doctrine.
Once more: Bloggers should be really concerned about this whole thing. The percentage of people who believe that there should be “equal time” given on the Internet is unhealthily high and could well go higher. And if you oppose the idea of having some kind of Hannity & Colmes debate on your personal blog, why on Earth should you support the implementation of such a nonsensical policy elsewhere?
