Obama advisers and surrogates have also linked Palin to conservative former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan. An Associated Press story from Alaska, dated July 17, 1999, states that Palin, then the mayor of the small town of Wasilla, was wearing a Buchanan button during a Buchanan visit to Alaska. I understand: you guys are so liberal you can’t stand the idea of a conservative woman. Fine, you’re bigots. But not the rest of the country. So, when you do want to pick apart someone running for office, you might want to (a) look for something more substantive (b) make sure you’re not the pot calling the kettle #000 and (c) all of the above.
If wearing a button for Pat Buchanan is a sign of support, then not wearing a button is a sign of non-support.
And if your preferred presidential candidate won’t wear a flag pin…
