America's Political System

It has taken over 200 years for America’s Political System to reach this critical stage. Under Obama and his Administration it has reach critical mass and will only get worse as long as Obama or any Democrat is President; and one or both houses of Congress is controlled by Democrats.

The “System” maybe working; but far too slowly to be truly effective. This temporary stay is just that, temporary…until the next crisis comes along. How much longer will we the people permit politicians to “kick the can” down the road?

Question: Will the next Congress continue to build on this; or will it begin to dismantle what is only a beginning.

It has always been “US AGAINST THEM”…”We the people” (US) must stand against “corrupting politicians” (THEM).

For if we the people fail to meet and exceed our responsibilities to ourselves and fellow citizens, America will be no more.

While this deal is moving in the right direction rhetorically thanks to pressure from TEA, it still falls short of the standards we or our forefathers envisioned.  At its center the deal still relies on an insufficient level of cuts immediately (over ten years, is that immediate) in return for raising the debt ceiling over $2 trillion.

I am skeptical of “government committees” tasked with negotiating grand bargains and I am opposed to committees that are given the authority to raise my taxes or anyone else’s and could force a gutting of our national defense budget. This deal just highlights how dysfunctional our government really is and we should oppose it as insufficient to the task at hand (immediately cut spending and enacting a balanced budget).

With both the House and Senate passing this bill, (kicking the can down the road again) without fully reviewing it, we must take action to be sure it measures up to its billing.  It cuts $900 billion around the edges and has no Balanced Budget Amendment requirement.  In addition, it creates a “Government Committee” that may very well insist on and have authority to increases taxes.

We have allowed weak-kneed Republicans to do it again…steal defeat from the jaws of victory.  We should call our Congressman and Senators frequently, demanding they “CUT, CAP, AND BALANCE” the next budget.

It is now clear the Obama Administration is actively working to overthrow the Constitutional protections granted by our Founding Fathers through the separation of powers. There can be no denying this Administration is in complete contempt of the U.S. Constitution, and in active defiance of the expressed Will of the People, and the Judicial and Congressional branches of the government – in effect replacing the “Rule of Law” with a foundation for tyranny.
