Rasmussen Polls Shows Obama Sinking

Here are some interesting facts from Rasmussen Reports, the polling organization, which has had a very accurate record in the last few elections. They show Obama’s popularity falling ever more:

‘The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday (August 24, 2011) shows that 19% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -26.

This is the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for President Obama. The previous low was -24 reached yesterday and also in September 2010. Additionally, the level of Strong Approval matches the lowest yet recorded. By way of comparison, President Bush had ratings near the end of his second term in the minus 30s.’

This Approval Index is an original way of measuring job approval. Because it generates not just approval numbers, but compares them with disapproval numbers, a unique Rasmussen product.

That number was +31 at Obama’s inauguration. And a 57-point negative swing is a major, major problem for Obama.

Now notice that final sentence, that ‘President Bush had ratings near the end of his second term in the minus 30s.’

Because it is significant to remember that Bush certainly had low ratings largely because of the disastrous Iraq war, but also because he had the Media Left blistering him every minute of every day for 8 years. Even when the economy was roaring Bush was being savaged over “tax cuts for the rich”.

Even when he still was Texas governor a false book about cocaine use by Bush was widely discussed in the media, while a liberal activist from Maine even tried to sabotage Bush shortly before the 2000 election with an old drunk-driving charge.

And who could forget Dan Rather and the fake National Guard story two months before the 2004 election, which was intended to derail Bush. Instead it derailed Rather’s legacy.

Meanwhile, of course, Obama is getting 100% media sycophancy even in a failing economy. Obama’s ties to terrorist William Ayers and other unsavory and dangerous Chicago figures were swept under the rug by the same media during the 2008 campaign.

Look at some of the other results from Rasmussen, with my comment after each:

*19% strongly approve of Obama’s job performance. Comment: This 19% is made up largely of millions of welfare recipients and other freeloaders, Social Security fraudsters and overpaid public-employee union members who all are prospering in this recession while everyone else sinks. And the reason that everyone else is sinking is because everyone else is paying the heavy bills for the welfare freeloaders, the fraudsters and the overpaid government workers.

*Only 20% think government anti-poverty programs reduce poverty. Comment: Woah… 80% of America now agrees with Nikitas3.com.  It’s about time.

*Seventy-one percent (71%) believe too many people get welfare who should not be getting it. Comment: 71%… Ditto.

*Forty-two percent (42%) of American adults believe corporations pay too little in taxes while 24% feel they pay too much. …Seventy-nine percent (79%) recognize that corporations generally pass higher taxes along to their customers in the form of higher prices. Comment: Could this 42% number have spiked right after Obama’s favorite Crony Corporation, General Electric, was reported to have paid no taxes this year? And where was the media hysteria over that? Imagine the liberal outrage if Halliburton had paid no taxes between 2001 and 2009, which would have been the equivalent to General Electric in the Bush/Cheney White House.

Rasmussen has an excellent record. Here are excerpts from the same poll report:

‘In 2004 George W. Bush received 50.7% of the vote while John Kerry earned 48.3%. Rasmussen Reports polling projected that Bush would win 50.2% to 48.5%. …In December 2009, a full 11 months before Election Day. A Democratic strategist concluded that if the Rasmussen Reports Generic Congressional Ballot data was accurate, Republicans would gain 62 seats in the House during the 2010 elections. Other polls at the time suggested the Democrats would retain a comfortable majority. The Republicans gained 63 seats in the 2010 elections. ‘

How has Rasmussen done so well?

Because Rasmussen is a real scientific polling organization, whereas the ‘polls’ conducted by ABC, New York Times, Washington Post etc. are media surveys contrived to produce a result that that ABC, the New York Times or the Washington Post then can report on as in, “A new ABC poll shows that Americans love president Obama more than ever. Here’s our reporter with more on that story…”

This is the modern American Media Left in operation.

These telephone polls can be rigged to produce any result. The people surveyed can be tilted toward Democrats in liberal areas, toward older people, toward minorities. Even the time of day that a poll is taken will affect the outcome. Polls taken during the day are more likely to query older people or people who are not working or people who are on welfare. Polls taken on weekends produce a different demographic. Friday evening polls get different results than Monday morning polls.

So the next time you hear a ‘poll’ saying this or that, take it with a grain of salt unless it is a respected poll like Rasmussen.
