James Carville, the Democrat activist and strategist, recently said in a television interview that Obama’s re-election is “going to be very difficult” if the economy remains sour. He added, “..this is gruesome on people…. But this is a terrible thing that has happened to people’s lives. I think the president at one level understands that, you know. But he is limited in what he can do. So we’ll just have to see. But it’s going to be hard.”
Yet didn’t we conservatives warn over and over that Obama policies would never work? That his ‘stimulus’ was nothing but a $400 billion sop to public employee unions (Obama still is holding on to almost $400 billion in those funds which he will spread around for his re-election)? You know, the unions who vote overwhelmingly Democrat? That his ‘stimulus’ wasted all that money and did not create any private-sector jobs at all but only propped-up public jobs?
Didn’t we conservatives say that all these decades of debt spending would catch up with us eventually, and that lending trillions of dollars to poor people to buy houses was completely irrational?
Of course we did. And for those who say that we just aren’t taxing everyone enough, Europe has worse debt problems than even we do, and they tax everything in sight.
But the Democrats have pushed on ruthlessly with their agenda, and Obama gambled on his stimulus. He figured that the economy would pick up and he would get both the union votes and a vote of confidence from the public. Unfortunately for Obama, he guessed wrong. And the polls are showing the result. He is seen increasingly as a loser for re-election in 2012.
Now look at what else Carville said. It is disturbing: “People, you know, if it continues, we’re going to start to see civil unrest in this country. I hate to say that, but I think it’s imminently possible.”
Oh, interesting. “Civil unrest”. Where have we seen this before?
Answer: In riots in Europe, particularly in Greece. And to a lesser extent the mob actions in Wisconsin, where public employee unions did a lot of damage to the state capitol and grounds in their protests over changes in the collective bargaining law.
British protests over education cuts came from students – egged on by professional communist agitators – who were expecting eternal government handouts because socialism promises everything. And now that the money is no longer there, they rioted.
Poor dears. But this actually is a good thing. Because now that these students are not being financed to go to universities for their left-wing indoctrinations, they will have time to get a real education – for free – reading books about capitalist economics. Can we suggest Adam Smith or Milton Friedman?
And what was the linking factor between “civil unrest” in Europe and the US?
Both forms of violence and property destruction are emanating from the political left. In Greece it is being fomented by the communists and the labor unions, in Britain by young communist agitators and left-wing students, and in Wisconsin, the unions and their sympaticos are the ones who took over the state capitol, occupied it for weeks as if it were their own personal property, and did all the damage. And now of course the Wisconsin taxpayers have to pick up the tab to fix it…
Yet now American political liberal James Carville is warning us about… “civil unrest”.
Hmmmm… Maybe he should be warning us about “LIBERAL unrest”. Because that is what it really is.
Come to think of it, who really should be leading the protests about the sad shape of the economy? The angry left?
No. Their policies ruined the economy. The main economic problem in the world today is government debt, which is caused by reckless spending. And the people who should be leading the protests over unemployment are the Tea Parties and the conservatives. And they did lead the peaceful protests in November 2010. And they won a huge victory at the ballot box, not by rioting and tearing up the state capitol in Wisconsin. And the Euro equivalents of the Tea Party have voted out the socialists all over Europe.
So maybe the left could learn from the Tea Parties.
But no, they only call the Tea Partiers names. In fact when the Tea Partiers gathered to protest the health-care bill at the Capitol in Washington in March 2010, a black congressman named Emanuel Cleaver even claimed that a protester call him a “nigger”. Yet no proof has even been produced for that charge which obviously was planned out in advance. So the people on the Democrat left who use real violence in their protests must then fabricate stories about violence and racism among peaceful protesters in the Tea Parties.
But you just wait. The “civil unrest” that Carville is talking about is indeed going to happen, and it will be led by labor unions, communists, radical hispanics, illegal aliens, urban anarchists (communists) and other agitators on the left including Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
In other words, the professional troublemakers who always use violence when their policies expectedly fail.
We all know the stories about Democrat-allied union thugs fomenting nationwide violence throughout the 20th century. Even as recently as the Summer of 2009, they were beating up a black conservative in St. Louis in plain sight. But somehow we are told over and over that labor unions are “the good guys” and that the corporations and the evil conservatives are the ones we need to watch for.
Nonsense. And watch the provocateurs of the “liberal unrest”. They might even be Democrat US congressmen or political commentators like Carville. Because Carville is planting the idea, rest assured. That is a leftist tactic, to suggest such an idea and then deny that you are suggesting it.
Oh, no, liberals will say, peaceful Democrat James Carville could NEVER be advocating unrest!
Yeah, right… Violence is a hallmark of leftist socialism. And the left has a hundred ways to gin it up, even covertly like Carville is. So if Carville really doesn’t want civil unrest, then he should stop predicting it. Period. Because such predictions are clear provocations. And Carville knows it. He didn’t get to where he is by reading Dr. Seuss.
Last winter Democrat Massachusetts US congressman Michael Capuano add more fuel to the fire when he said to an audience of union members after the Wisconsin flare-up: “I’m proud to be here with people who understand that it’s more than just sending an email to get you going. Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.”
Provocation anyone? And coming not from the streets, but from the political suites in Washington.
Watch for the violence and unrest. It is coming, rest assured, egged on by the left, as Wisconsin came close to violence. And we must know who to hold to account when it happens. And we must respond with peace and with video cameras, to show America the truth.
