Within hours of the shooting of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and 12 others in Tucson, leading to 6 deaths, some in the media immediately began suggesting that the killer was a conservative. Numerous media stories described Giffords as a Democrat who stood up for the health-care bill against great public pressure.
Unfortunately for the Ancient Media the shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, is said to be “left wing, quite liberal” by a former classmate. Through his writings, he can clearly be seen as anti-God and in favor of burning the American flag, neither of which can be called conservative.
Here is how the washingtonpost.com described the shooting:
TUCSON – The mass shooting Saturday morning that gravely wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and killed a federal judge raised serious concerns that the nation’s heated political discourse had taken a dangerous turn.
…In an emotional news conference late Saturday, Pima County Sheriff Clarence W. Dupnik (D) denounced the nation’s vitriolic political climate and noted Arizona‘s part in the rancor after a controversial crackdown on illegal immigration.
“The anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this country is getting to be outrageous, and unfortunately Arizona has become sort of the capital,” Dupnik said. “We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry.”
The fiery rhetoric that has taken hold in politics, Dupnik said, “may be free speech, but it’s not without consequences.” (end of excerpt)
Yet who is to say what this shooter’s motive was. Nobody knows yet. He obviously is a nut, according to people who knew him and went to school with him. And where was the immediate condemnation of “prejudice and bigotry” when an illegal alien is said to have murdered Arizona rancher Robert Krentz?
But suggest they do, just like mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City first guessed laughably that the person who planted the dud car bomb in Times Square last May 1 was probably some conservative upset with the health-care bill and not a Pakistani national involved in terrorism like Faisal Shahzad was.
This is like many in the media immediately conjecturing right after the 1963 assassination that JFK’s killer was some right-wing white supremacist when in fact it was a committed communist named Lee Harvey Oswald.
So the media apparently are going to go all out to blame the Arizona shooting on conservatives. Again. But it won’t work. After all, said former Loughner classmate Caitie Parker, “As I knew him he was left wing, quite liberal…”
After Timothy McVeigh bombed the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, some in the media immediately blamed conservative talk radio for agitating McVeigh against the government. But McVeigh didn’t need any encouragement. He was retaliating against the federal government for the killing of 76 Christians at the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas two years before, an action for which Democrat president Bill Clinton escaped blame and for which Janet Reno took the responsibility as attorney general and then served a full 8 years.
You are going to see wall-to-wall coverage of this Arizona shooting while the national media coverage of the murder of rancher Krentz was zero. Because the media have a template – that Democrats who support nationalized health care and lenient immigration laws are saints, and that ranchers under assault by illegal aliens are just dispensable conservatives.
So let’s we conservatives play the media game and pin everything on Loughner’s liberalism by claiming, for instance, that Loughner attended public schools where he certainly didn’t learn anything about being a good citizen. And he then went to Pima Community College where we know they advocate leftist hatred of authority. And that he was rejected by the Army.
And look at two of the books he has admired… The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf. Hitler and Stalin were advocates of the mass murder of Christians and other innocents in the name of government domination of the people were they not? This guy sure sounds like a socialist. After all, Hitler’s party was the National Socialist Party.
Here is one post on businessinsider.com defending Loughner’s reading list:
‘It is not unusual for young people to be curious and he appears to be showing he reads a diversity of literary material. This does not mean he is mentally sound but to categorize a person by what they say they read isn’t the way to go about it.’ (end of excerpt)
Thus out of all the thousands of great books in the world, the guy reads trash by one of the most notorious mass murderers in history, and another whose prescriptions have always led to mass murder. And you can expect all the liberals in America to defend that out of ‘intellectual curiosity’. Of course if Loughner had read, understood and admired the US Constitution, the media would be condemning him as they smeared the Republicans who read the Constitution aloud on the floor of the House of Representatives on January 6.
Wrote Huffington Post’s Sam Stein reporting on Loughner’s own comments:
‘“Every United States Military recruit at MEPS in Phoenix is receiving one mini bible before the tests,” he writes in one video. “Jared Loughner is a United States Military recruit at MEPS in Phoenix Therefore, Jared Loughner is receiving one mini bible before the tests.”’ (end of excerpt)
This is where the liberals note that Loughner was preparing to receive a mini-bible in order to somehow link that Bible in some way to the murders.
This is going to get worse in the coming days. Just wait. But it is completely understandable. When Cho Seung-Hui shot up Virginia Tech in April 2007, the lefty eggheads at Tech had known for years that Hui was crazy but did nothing about it. Because on today’s college campuses you often can’t tell the difference between the kooks and the professors because they often think so much alike.
Here is one of Loughners’s rantings:
If there’s no flag in the constitution then the flag in the film is unknown.
There’s no flag in the constitution.
Therefore, the flag in the film is unknown.
Burn every new and old flag that you see.
Burn your flag! (end of excerpt)
Hmm… That sounds like the thinking of an anti-American leftist. Did he vote for Obama? That would be interesting to find out. Here is another kooky offering:
I teach a mentally capable 8 year old for 20 consecutive minutes to replace an alphabet letter with a new letter and pronunciation.
Thus, the mentally capable 8 year old writes and pronounces the new letter and pronunciation that replaces an alphabet letter in 20 consecutive minutes.
Every human who’s mentally capable is always able to be treasurer of their new currency.
If you create one new currency then you’re able to create a second new currency.
If you’re able to create second new currency then you’re able to create third new currency.
You create one new currency.
Thus, you’re able to create a third new currency.
You’re a treasurer for a new currency, listener?
You create and distribute your new currency, listener?
You don’t allow the government to control your grammar structure, listener?
If you create one new language then you’re able to create a second new language. (end of excerpt)
Boy, there’s an A student for you. He should go to Harvard, maybe win the Nobel Prize for this stuff. He makes about as much sense as a lot of these laureates do. Like Al Gore.
