I was pleased, thrilled and honored to have attended on October 21 at the town hall in tiny Becket, Massachusetts the awarding of the French Ordre national de la Legion d’honneur medal and citation to Wesley Joachim Souliere of Becket for his heroic service during World War II. Mr. Souliere was born in Canada and became an American citizen. He fought valiantly in the French theater in the US military. The link to the story of the award is here

It is moments like these that make you realize what is truly important in this world. Mr. Souliere, now 91, is a humble man in a world with few people of his high caliber. Congratulations, sir! And thank you for all of your service.
