You’ve got to hand it to CNN. Not only are they an integral part of the NBCNewsweekLATimesHuffPost cabal that is pathologically infatuated with every syllable uttered by president Obama, but now they are concocting Syndromes and Effects named for all the miracles that BHO is creating in the world.
Within just days of Obama’s speech to the Muslim world in Cairo, Egypt, the voters of Lebanon elected a pro-Western government, rather than the heinous Hezbollah terrorist-backed faction. CNN’s Jack Cafferty – never one to miss a pro-Obama beat that isn’t even there – attributed the vote to what he deemed The Cairo Effect, that Obama had so reassured the Muslim world in his Cairo speech of his good intentions that everyone now loves America. Never mind that the Lebanese people may simply have decided that they would rather live in a place more like Boston than Beirut or Baghdad.
Cafferty conveniently ignored a much bigger and more significant Obama-related syndrome which took place across Europe the day after our president appeared at the D-Day ceremonies commemorating the 65th anniversary of the invasion of France. On Sunday, June 7, 2009, the people of the Old World, disgusted with their static economies, voted overwhelmingly to kick out their continental socialists in favor of conservative governments from Hungary to Britain. It was nothing short of a rout.
So Obama’s magical left-wing tentacles somehow were working in reverse, not reaching out and touching the traditionally Ameriphobic Europeans but repelling them. Suddenly even Europe wanted American-style free-market capitalism at the same time that Obama is preaching European big-government socialism here.
What a crazy world.
On June 10, a nutty 88-year-old gunman named James von Brunn burst into the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC and ended up killing a guard. Von Brunn was severely injured by fellow guards’ bullets and will be charged with civil rights violations and hate crimes. And so you wonder why Obama’s Love Effect – of a nation moving beyond race and prejudice – had not somehow reached von Brunn who apparently has been on the internet for years railing about Jews and calling 9/11 an inside job.
In fact von Brunn sounds like an Obama supporter, does he not? After all Obama’s long-time pastor Jeremiah Wright is a vicious anti-Semite (“Them Jews ain’t going to let him (Obama) talk to me,” Wright said recently) who believes that Bush did 9/11 and that the CIA infected black people with AIDS. Obama also has been associated with radical anti-Israel Palestinian rights activist Rashid Khalidi, while at the same time is seeming just a tad anxious to open dialogue with an Iranian dictator who wishes to see the state of Israel expunged from the world’s maps.
Or as Jack Cafferty might call it, The Hitler Effect.
So now the same media that mourned for days over the death of late-term Kansas abortion doctor George Tiller but completely ignored the recent murder of a US Army private named William Long by a Muslim terrorist, now have a new cause celebre to tout politically, the gun-toting geriatric who burst into the DC museum and killed a guard.
The talking heads of MSNBC and CNN and NBC and the New York Times and the pontificators in Congress spent an entire news cycle covering the museum killing as if it were the Kennedy assassination all over.
Why? Because von Brunn is a caucasian US military veteran – from World War II! – who has been tagged as a “white supremacist” and tied to conservative movements that the Department of Homeland Security desperately tried to warn us about in a report earlier in the Spring that said:
… rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat… The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today… After Operation Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991, some returning military veterans—including Timothy McVeigh—joined or associated with rightwing extremist groups….A prominent civil rights organization reported in 2006 that “large numbers of potentially violent neo-Nazis, skinheads, and other white supremacists are now learning the art of warfare in the [U.S.] armed forces.”
When the report caused an uproar as a slight against the military, Homeland Security secretary Janet Napolitano had to backtrack. But now the media are saying, “Look! This is what the report was talking about! Von Brunn! And others like him!”
Yeah, all those guys who fought to liberate Paris and Tokyo more than 65 years ago. Most of them have died.
This is nonsense. There are always nuts out there. Out of the millions of people who have served in the American military, we have one guy who attacked the museum. This guy is 88 years old. The FBI has been aware of him for years. He is not part of some dark conspiracy that is unfolding in the hinterlands of Michigan.
But Carl Bledsoe, aka Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Muslim-convert murderer of Pvt. Long, certainly is part of a big conspiracy called the worldwide terrorist movement that is being ignored by the left and ignored by the media as much as possible. Obama does not even call it the “war on terror”. Large numbers of Democrats believe Bush did 9/11.
Writing on the Huffington Post, columnist Michael Rowe immediately took out after the conservatives of America for the DC shooting and the Tiller murder, noting commentator Anne Coulter’s comment that Jews need to be “perfected” through conversion to Christianity.
Compare that to one million and one anti-Semitic tirades coming from the left-wing blogosphere every day, or Columbia University inviting Iran’s Jew-hater leader Ahmedinejad to speak there after his statements denying the Holocaust. After that, Anne Coulter seems downright warm and fuzzy.
But no, said Rowe:
Coulter has made her fortune by generating, fanning, and nurturing hatred and contempt for a variety of people, including liberals, Democrats, gays, foreign nationals, 9/11 widows, feminists, single mothers, Muslims, and any other group she could throw to her disenfranchised readership as shark bait.
Wonder what Rowe thinks about David Letterman joking about Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter being raped by a baseball player? How about the radicals in Democrat-only Oakland, California marching in support of a multiple cop-killer?
When it was pointed out last year that Obama’s pastor had made anti-white, anti-Semitic and anti-American rants for years, however, we were supposed to ignore it.
Here is Rowe writing about the murder of Tiller, blaming Fox News for it.
Much the same thing happened on May 31st when Scott Roeder entered the Reformation Lutheran Church during Sunday services and slaughtered abortion provider provider Dr. George Tiller. Media analysts continue to explore a possible continuum between Tiller’s murder and FOX host Bill O’Reilly’s well-documented on-air tirades against the doctor, whom he repeatedly called “Tiller the Baby Killer.” O’Reilly broadcast his vendetta to millions and millions of FOX viewers already infected with evangelical superstitions and a horror of science, especially science as it applies to a woman’s right to choose.
What Rowe fails to mention is that Tiller has been called Tiller the Baby Killer for years by pro-life forces that have been seeking to put him out of business. And that the media have ignored Tiller’s brutal late-term abortions and birth-abortions for decades while O’Reilly has had the temerity to expose this very barbaric man who has killed 60,000 fetuses by himself, part of the 45 million killed in the last 40 years since Roe v Wade.
And that is to O’Reilly’s credit.
