My Big, Fat Gay Wedding Scam

In one of the most egregious swindles in American journalistic history, the Ancient Media were reporting in 1995 that black churches across the South were being burned down at alarming rates, with the implication that white supremacists were on the march. Only problem is, there was not a whit of truth about it. It was all a lie that was intended to smear white people and increase black agitation on behalf of Jesse Jackson, the Democrat party etc. You can read about the whole episode here

The American media repeatedly lie about causes they favor, then get away with lying because they never will investigate themselves, or never will expose their own lies even when they know they are lying. Because the lying promotes their agenda. And since liberals do not really believe there is a right and wrong, and since they relentlessly malign conservatives who think that way, lying is just a way for them to further their ideas. Consider the bogeyman of ‘global warming’ which today is being called ‘climate change’ because ‘global warming’ was a fabrication that has been exposed by actual statistics.

But this is how liberalism works: They start with a little lie and soon it is a big one.

Today we are being confronted with another barrage of media fakery, this time through facts not being reported, as opposed to reporting false facts, which are two sides of the same coin. The most recent fraud involves the subject of gay ‘marriage’. And after more than a decade of direct political action, gays have ‘marriage’ rights in 5 states (Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine and Iowa) and are pushing for all 50 states.

Those who have disagreed with the concept of gay ‘marriage’ are disparaged and called bigots. Carrie Prejean, the Miss California contestant, was blocked from being crowned Miss USA because she said she believed that marriage was a sacred institution between one man and one woman. Vicious insults filled the airwaves and the internet after she was asked, “Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit?”

Despite being sandbagged, Prejean was completely gracious in her answer to the question, responding in the way her Christian background would recommend. She said: “I think it’s great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage and, you know what, in my country and my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anyone out there but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman.”

And despite the forgiving nature of her answer, gays and leftists went nuts, attacking her in the worst way. And many people across the nation have lost jobs or otherwise been discriminated against for speaking out against homosexuality and gay ‘marriage’.

From the heated tenor of the ‘marriage’ debate, you would think that gays are desperate to express their heartfelt love for one another through a legal bond.  But the Big Unreported Fact that the Ancient Media do not want you to know is how few homosexuals actually opt for ‘marriage’, and that, like good liberals, marriage for homosexuals is like marriage for heterosexuals – a marginal, old-fashioned and unnecessary commitment when other common social arrangements are available (living together, adultery, one-night-stands, sleeping around, serial marriage, serial relationships etc.)

The real truth about homosexuals and ‘marriage’ is exposed in a 2006 study by the Institute for Marriage and Public Policy (imapp.org) called DEMAND FOR SAME-SEX MARRIAGE: EVIDENCE FROM THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, AND EUROPE by Maggie Gallagher and Joshua Baker which showed that demand for marriage among homosexuals couples, both male and female, is extremely low, as little as 1% of the population.

Yet from the media firestorm around the issue, you would think they all would be running out to get ‘married’. So what gives?

It is this: Liberals love to create false frenzies, as they did about the church burnings. And then when the lie is exposed, they either ignore it (gay ‘marriage’), create a new lie (‘climate change’), or have moved on to something else in order to create a new frenzy about some other subject. It is all emotional manipulation and is the leftist way of influencing others.

Here is the executive summary of the IMAPP report:

What proportion of gay and lesbian people choose to marry, when the option is legally available?

This research report offers estimates of gay and lesbian marriage rates based on the best available data. The highest estimate to date of the proportion of gays and lesbians who have married in any jurisdiction where it is available is 16.7% (Massachusetts).

More typically, our survey of marriage statistics from various countries that legally recognize same-sex unions suggests that today between 1% and 5% of gays and lesbians have entered into a same-sex marriage. In the Netherlands, which has had same-sex marriage as a legal option for the longest period, between 2% and 6% of gays and lesbians have entered marriages in the first five years.

Trend data is extremely limited, but the available data suggest that the number of gay marriages tends to decrease after an initial burst (reflecting pent up demand).

Whether same-sex marriage will emerge as common or normative among gays and lesbians, or fade as time and novelty passes, cannot yet be determined.

Just looking at that final thought is enough to make you want to go out for some fresh air. Why should we even be considering that homosexual unions will not emerge as common?

Answer: Because we are being led to believe that the whole advocacy of gay ‘marriage’ is a legitimate political concern when in fact it is a hoax that is being used to threaten and intimidate conservatives, just as the church-burning scam was being used to agitate blacks against white people. Conservative white people, that is.

Here are some other excerpts from the IMAPP report:

*Thus, in the first five years that same-sex couples could legally marry in the Netherlands, between 2% and 6% of Dutch gays and lesbians did so. (Note: The only difference between 2% and 6% is in the way that gays are counted in the population in the first place.)

*Thus in Belgium though 2004, between 2% and 5% of gay and lesbian people have chosen to marry a same-sex partner.

*Regarding Canada: Alberta (population 2.63 million). In Alberta, 143 same-sex marriages were recorded between July 20, 2005 and January 18, 2006.

*Therefore, assuming the proportion of gay and lesbian people in Massachusetts is the same as the national average (2.3% of men and 1.3% of women), and assuming all the marriages recorded in Massachusetts are Massachusetts citizens, 16.7% of gay and lesbian individuals had entered into same-sex marriages. (Note: The pioneering lesbian couple that instigated the Massachusetts ‘marriage’ law have ‘divorced’. Gay ‘divorce’ stats will be the subject of another column.)

*The New York Times noted in February 2005: “[T]he gay and lesbian marriage rate has been falling in Canada over the last year, after an initial burst of weddings . . .Our data too suggest a similar trend, over the limited time same-sex marriages have been available. In Canada, Belgium, and the Netherlands, the number of samesex marriages, after an initial burst, appears to be decreasing with each year the legal option is available.

Along with the massive media coverup of the abysmal health and mortality statistics among gay males, there is huge negligence in reporting on homosexuality. So next time you are asked what you think about gay ‘marriage’ and feel intimidated or frightened to say you oppose it, don’t be shy. Just say the following: “Marriage should be reserved as a legal relationship between one man and one woman. Even most homosexuals seem to believe that. Or at least that is what their actions say.” And that also is what Obama said during his campaign.
