“Whatever strength and discipline I have comes from her,” Barack Obama said about his white grandmother.

This is a very revealing statement about the inner war going on inside Obama and inside all liberals.

Conservatives know exactly who they are. They are strong in their identities. And to have a strong identity is the essential basis for a fulfilled life. That is why conservatives are the people who optimistically build things and who create wealth and freedom. Our Founding Fathers all were conservatives in their hearts and souls.

Liberals, on the other hand, are insecure in their identities and thus are highly susceptible to inner turmoil, emotional extremes and, consequently, social manipulation. Think Bill Clinton. Liberals are consumed in wondering: Who am I?

Think of all the leftists in Hollywood. They are just play actors in a fantasy world. Many do not know who they really are. And when you get lost in a life of wondering about the essential nature of your being, your mind is constantly parsing the world, never able to rest. Hollywood lives easily are sidetracked into the illusions of grandeur… extreme materialism and greed, and an exalted sense of self, balanced out by an equally intense insecurity and self-hatred. Thus Hollywood’s ongoing battles with drug abuse, alcoholism, divorce, adultery, depression, self-hatred, insecurity and other psychological havoc.

That’s also what is happening at our left-wing universities, where intellectual chaos reigns. In many cases there no longer is any real scholarship about the facts of our world… history, art, mathematics, literature. Much of modern college life has descended into politically-correct sloganeering and cursory intellectualism. Because many students and professors are sitting around wondering: Who am I? Why should I believe that there is such a thing as universal truth when I do not even know my own truth?

That Obama’s black Muslim father abandoned him and went back to Africa while his white grandmother was the one who gave him his “strength and discipline” shows that Obama is having his own identity issues, and that he is on the one hand cognizant of the positive half of him that is white. Yet he still sat in the pews of Jeremiah Wright’s church listening to Wright defame America, saying “white folks’ greed runs a world in need.”

What kind of war must be going on inside Obama? Why is Obama so angry at whites when it was his black father who abandoned him?

Actually, Obama indeed is angry at his father and at his own race. But his step-father, Indonesian leftist activist Lolo Soetero, whom his radical mother married after Obama’s father departed, obviously shoved him into a left-wing worldview. That worldview says that you should look backward and cultivate your anger instead of relinquishing the angry past and looking forward and upward.

Obama’s anger thus has been channeled against his own white self. He could have adopted a positive view of the world according to what his white grandmother taught him. But he did not.

This is how socialism recruits its foot soldiers. It cultivates resentment and defeatism even when that resentment is completely unfounded based on one’s own life experience, as in Obama’s anger at white people. Or in Michelle Obama’s disdain for America despite her own huge success earning more than $300,000 a year.

Look at the anger that most blacks in America have toward whites, even though much of their own race is consumed in killing each other in mayhem and violence and failure.

Young blacks today are taught to admire ‘gangster rap’ stars and basketball players who father illegitimate children all over, yet have nothing but contempt for disciplined, conservative black leaders like Michael Steele, the former lieutenant governor of Maryland, who urges them to respect themselves and to achieve their dreams.

Because once their angry leftist leaders like Jesse Jackson get hold of them, young blacks are subverted, reminded of all the negative and none of the positive. They are constantly agitated.

Today, you can get 1,000 blacks to protest one act of police brutality, but you cannot get one black to protest 1,000 acts of black-on-black brutality. That is how Jesse Jackson gets his power. If blacks weren’t angry, Jackson wouldn’t be at the head of every protest parade. And he knows it.

Obama even calls himself ‘black’. Yet he had one black parent and one white. He is ‘mulatto’, which the Merriam-Webster online dictionary at www.merriam-webster.com defines in this way:

So if Obama is only half black, and if his African father abandoned him, and if his white grandparents loved him and gave him his positive values, why is he so disrespectful of white people, saying things like this in his book Dreams From My Father:

*”I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”

Or: “It was my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d package all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.”

Or: “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students, the foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.”

Or: “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.”

Or: “That hate hadn’t gone away,” he wrote, blaming “white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”*

Why would he even write a book in tribute to the father who abandoned him? Why did Obama make this turn?

Because socialism always accentuates the negative. That is why liberals support the cruelest forms of abortion; why the movies of ‘pacifist’ Hollywood are full of violence and guns; why liberals support the increasing legitimization of the homosexual lifestyle despite years of proof that it is rife with disease and death; or why leftists reflexively defend criminals and terrorists.

Or why the traditional family structure is so marginalized by liberals – so as to send young people out into the world wondering who they are and whether anyone really loves or understands or cares about them. Because with these identity questions hanging over their heads, they are confused and preoccupied and can be sold on the utopian promises of socialism which promises to ‘fix everything’ while offering casual entertainments like sex and popular culture to anesthetize them.

Obama and his political and media cronies are using the current financial crisis – which will pass – as a means of cultivating a national anger and uncertainty so that Americans will look beyond Obama’s prejudices and frightening associations and grasp at him as the remedy for the current situation. And this is how they are manipulating his confused identity in order to impose their very radical agenda.
