Did Governor Moonbeam Just Threaten the President of the United States?

MSNBC’s Democrat stenographer Andrea Mitchell interviewed Governor Moonbeam Jerry Brown at an environmental summit in Needletown San Francisco. His statements are unsurprising,

We never had a president who was engaged in this kind of behavior. I mean he’s not telling the truth; he keeps changing his mind; he’s sabotaging the world order in many respects.

Apparently he was on another planet during the Obama years, but I digress. One of his statements may have crossed a line.

It’s unprecedented, it’s dangerous, and hopefully this election is going to send a strong message to the country; the Democrats will win…something’s got to happen to this guy, because if we don’t get rid of him, he’s going to undermine America and even the world. (emphasis mine)

Perhaps the Secret Service should pay the Governor a visit to ask him what he meant by that statement. If a Republican had used those words about a Democrat, there would have been nightly reports for weeks about how he was either directly threatening the President, or encouraging others to take action against him. They love to claim the right regularly uses dog whistles, but the press will ignore when the Democrats use them.

He goes on to encourage climate change protests by youth to continue and escalate:

I think what you’re seeing in the protests, you’re going to see more incoherent, disruptive reactions…

If leftists protests are nothing else, they are certainly incoherent and disruptive, especially from the youth. Statements like Brown’s are dangerous and unhelpful. We’ve seen too many recent attacks from the left against organizations and elected officials on the right based on irresponsible statements. This doesn’t relieve those who performed the actions from responsibility, but it doesn’t eliminate responsibility of those who stirred them up either.

The press is equally responsible for not calling out these kind of statements from the left. Until they do, I see know reason to call them journalists.
