I’ve got a ticket to the opera Aida in a 2009-year-old Roman Arena in Verona Italy, and you don’t.
Tonight is the final show of the season.
This is as far away as I could get in an attempt to capture the entire arena.
There are only four sections of the external arcade still standing.
The view across the river looking at the base of the Alps isn’t bad either.
This is supposedly the famous balcony from Romeo and Juliet. From what I’ve read, it’s about as authentic as Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign.
Dinner was excellent, as usual. Pennette con salmone with a half liter of red wine.
It ain’t Waikiki, but I’ll take it.
