More and more I’m beginning to wonder if 2012 is the year that we see the we see the first “real” convention in over 70 years, if by “real” we mean that mean the delegates actually choose the nominee. Despite the conventional wisom, this actually might be a positive development. After all, the reason we elect delegates is not so they can have a four day party, it’s supposed to be to choose our nominee. And I predict that if we reach the convention with no clear front runner, the candidate who would be the best choice to face Obama would be Jon Huntsman. Successful governor, ambassador, principled conservative, strong family man, good moral values. What am I missing?
Will a Brokered Convention Turn to Huntsman?
