A big thank you to NPR

Are you people insane….?
You fired Juan Williams ?
Juan freakin’ Williams ?
The one black liberal that pretty much the whole world will agree on that he is a man of indisputable integrity.
Nice going.
I’ll bet you are receiving all sorts of e-mails in support.
Just so you know. Pretty much every single media organization in the free world and every talk show host that does not work for NPR thinks you are crazy.
Even Whoopi Goldberg thinks you are wrong.
Way to GOTV for liberalism in the black community ten days before an election.
They’re going to love you.
Fox News just offered him a $2 million dollar contract and will give him substantial airtime.
Who got love for Juan…?

Reporting from Washington —
As NPR weathered a storm of criticism Thursday for its decision to fire news analyst Juan Williams for his comments about Muslims, Fox News moved aggressively to turn the controversy to its advantage by signing Williams to an expanded role at the cable news network.

Fox News Chief Executive Roger Ailes handed Williams a new three-year contract Thursday morning, in a deal that amounts to nearly $2 million, a considerable bump up from his previous salary, the Tribune Washington Bureau has learned. The Fox News contributor will now appear exclusively and more frequently on the cable news network and have a regular column on FoxNews.com.

Keep that in mind. While you are trying to publicly humiliate the man for honestly talking about his own personal feelings which btw…many people share, it is the the right-wing Fox News that you despise with the heat of a thousand suns that came to his aid and defended him in his time of trouble.
NAACP…..? Bueller…Bueller….?

It is also outrageous that you could not simply fire the man. You had to shame him publicly by implying that his opinion was some sort of delusion that was in need of medical help.

. NPR CEO Vivian Schiller just released this statement:

“I spoke hastily and I apologize to Juan and others for my thoughtless remark.”

That follows, as you’ll see below, her comment earlier today that now-former NPR news analyst Juan Williams should have kept his feelings about Muslims between himself and “his psychiatrist or his publicist.”

So Juan needs a shrink because sometimes people worry him…?
Ok…you did apologize. But how come you get to apologize for humiliating someone publicly as if that is the end of it but Juan Williams gets run out of NPR on a rail….?
Apparently the rules that apply to Juan do not apply to yourself Vivian.

And what about YOU Vivian?
How do you feel late at night in a parking garage when you see two men walking towards you as you walk to your car ?
Do you feel the need to reach out to them and understand then as human beings or do you quicken your step to get to the safety of your car before you intersect with them.Have you never feared people you have not met….?
Do you lock your doors at night or do you hope that life will surprise you with a chance encounter with one of the neighborhood locals ?
Please enlighten us.

That’s the way it is in the lefty world isn’t it…?
Rules and standards are some sort of living and breathing paradigm that evolve to suit any situation when necessary.
But only for you.

Have it your way NPR.
You are more irrelevant than you ever were and now you are even in danger of being defunded.
Oh my.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (Ohio), who could be House speaker next year, said that “it’s reasonable” to examine federal subsidies for NPR, which he called a “left-wing radio network.”

“We need to face facts – our government is broke,” Boehner told the conservative National Review. “Washington is borrowing 37 cents of every dollar it spends from our kids and grandkids. Given that, I think it’s reasonable to ask why Congress is spending taxpayers’ money to support a left-wing radio network – and in the wake of Juan Williams’ firing, it’s clearer than ever that’s what NPR is.”

Ruh roh.
Even Sarah Palin had a good zinger for NPR.

If NPR is unable to tolerate an honest debate about an issue as important as Islamic terrorism, then it’s time for “National Public Radio” to become “National Private Radio.” It’s time for Congress to defund this organization.

You betcha’. That’s going to leave a mark.

We’ll tell you what Vivian.
If black people who think like Juan are not welcome in your political world then we on the right will be more than happy to accept this man and those who would agree with him into our fold.
Our tent is big.
We can disagree and still respect each other.
Try it sometime.
