In January of 2016 God arranged for Mike Adams to publish an article that He used to answer a prayer of mine. Mike’s article in turn related a story of how God had used someone else to write an email to Mike Adams, to answer a prayer of his. A beautiful recursive miracle. I had to let him know what God had done, researched and found a phone number at UNCW, and left him a message, and may have also sent an email. I still have the reply that I received from him.
At the tail end of this week I learned of Professor Adams’ death and took it hard. Another happy warrior silenced in this life (I think also of Andrew Breitbart). The title of his article dated January 8, 2016, and mine today, is “You Are Not Alone.”
On January 8, 2016, I found Professor Adams’ article after pouring four pages of alternating prayer and rant to God into my prayer journal starting at 5AM that morning. The entry begins:
1/8/16 Friday 0500
Today is a new day. My father makes all things new!
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” MT6:33
I am searching for my Father desperately trying to lean into him, to hear his voice
The narrow gate doesn’t just happen. “Few” find it!!
I am paralyzed […]
I poured my heart out on page after page, ending this entry with:
Is it that He has nothing to say to me? NO Everything God does speaks volumes. Rocks cry out.
I got up, probably made a cup of coffee, and found the article by Mike Adams. I returned to my journal:

townhall.com –> Mike Adams
“You are not alone” 1/8/16.
–> He talked about feeling all alone, ranting at God, and getting an email word of response.
His article is also mine
As the world separates us, pitting neighbor against neighbor, constantly gaslighting us – the TRUTH is: Mike Adams is not alone, I am not alone, you are not alone.
Mike Adams ended his article simply on January 8, 2016.
Regardless, I thought it would be good to run this column for any of my readers who are presently in a dark place. The picture will eventually zoom out. Then you will see that you weren’t really alone or abandoned in the darkness.
My closing prayer for us all. Father may you strengthen our faith that we would trust in you through the hard times and good, knowing that you are faithful and true, and that you will never leave nor forsake your people. Amen
